Tenicosquey is in the eastern area of Fuerteventura <\/strong>, a natural and desert landscape in which nature is the only protagonist. In the fifteenth century, settlers began to populate Tenicosquey, and the mahos used this natural space as a passageway. They preferred to settle in more sheltered and elevated areas.<\/p>\n

The houses of Tenicosquey are one of the points of interest in this town that is located between Los Cuchillos de Viag\u00e1n<\/strong> and the Malpa\u00eds Grande Protected Area<\/strong>. The vegetation is scarce, but its geographical location, the valleys and the “knife-like” sharp volcanic ridges make Tenicosquey one of the most special spaces in Fuerteventura.<\/p>\n

The few houses that remain today are used for tourist accomodations<\/a>. Verdeaurora’s houses stand out for their location and for their typical Majorero architecture: Casa Pilar, Casa Aurora and Casa Tarabilla<\/strong>. They are located in the center of the Biosphere Reserve. A unique location in which you can connect with nature and the wildest and most unique landscape on the island<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Verdeaurora<\/a> is found in the heart of the Fuerteventura Biosphere Reserve<\/strong>. Which makes it a place away from the hustle and bustle of the most touristic areas of the island. An experience that you will only enter into once the sun has fallen<\/strong>. Moments in which millions of bright stars, the long and marked milky way, planets surrounded by faraway satellites, shooting stars that cross the sky and mythological constellations, can be seen every night.<\/p>\n

Stroll through the olive trees, from which we extract the extra virgin olive oil or through the Aloe vera plantations<\/strong>, all organically cultivated, that later you can learn to take care of and manipulate to become an expert.<\/p>\n

All of this accompanied by a tasting of Majorero gastronomy<\/strong>. Some delicious dishes based on goat cheese, olive oil or mojo pic\u00f3n as the main protagonists.<\/p>\n
